CRC Might have to supply the demo; the Files+Media link on the front goes to the download link extravaganza thread on the forums here. But, keep in mind, the demo is a gross mis-representation of the actual release, gameplay, graphic, character, and script-wise.

It's like comparing the tech-demo of Fallout 3, with the actual product.

I just want to test it CRC if you read this can you pm me a link to the 2005 demo ? i really wanna test it out real quick .

Ghost, testing the demo will in no way represent the final product, it is a very early version, so testing the demo is pretty much a waste of your time. The only thing the demo really does show that still remains now, is the atmosphere of the game.
But if you want to see atmosphere, check out some youtube videos of Out of Hell and you'll find some old 2009 videos which show the atmosphere pretty darn well.

The biggest slowdown issue, for me, has been in two spots- one, the gas station in Underwood- it was going so slow I couldn't fight zombies unless I moved around- standing on the car meant FPS <10, and pretty much the entirety of the last stage of Cedar Woods, the level in which you find the pitchfork (and a second machete) and are working your way through the woods behind some houses.

if i understand in UT2k4 i desactivate the fog and after i run out of hell?

when i lunch the OOH.exe i have this message

C:\Games\UT2004\System\UT2004.exe is no found


in steam it is:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\unreal tournament 2004\System

but i can't change this !

why not create a option in OOH for the fog?!

Yeah, I get the same thing, so you're not alone lol.

For anyone with a steam copy of UT2004, all you need to do is right click the game in your steam games list and select properties. From there, click 'Set Launch Options' and paste "-Mod=Out_Of_Hell" without the quotes. It'll just boot Out of Hell automatically when you start UT2004 through steam, after that. I've found that, for whatever reason, it helped my framerate and I hope it helps you folks as well!

Thanks man! Did this to my UT2k4's shortcut (retail version btw), and now the areas that were nearly unplayable boosted to very well playable levels! 6+ Zombies on screen and still decent framerates now.
In other words people: DON'T start OoH from UT's community-menu!

NICE FIND REIMU! I'm completely puzzled as to how or why it works but as long as it helps, it's good! So perhaps I'll place a note in the patch that starting OoH from within the UT mod menu is not recommended.

Do you know if the same thing happens if you launch from the OoH shortcut provided? I have the 5-disc version and not the STEAM version, so I won't be able to tell. I get good frames on my system and never launch from the UT mod menu so I can't determine.
